Bani Bakery

HTML / CSS / JavaScript / jQuery

This 2-page site is for a cake designer who needed a website for her bakery to promote her business, products and have customers be able to place orders. The site has a functioning contact form where I implemented PHP to handle the post request.

Omnifood

HTML / CSS / JavaScript

A food service concept site that offers healthy meals prepared by well trained chefs. The food is organic, does not take long to prepare and will get delivered to you. The site is responsive so it can be viewed on mobile as well.

web project

Technaprint

HTML / CSS / JavaScript

Original site was built by the owner with hardly any styling. I recreated the site using Adobe Muse since I wasn't comfortable with coding yet. This new re-design was introduced, built with code but unfortunately never replaced the existing site.

About

selfie pic

My name is Rolando Lopantzi, I am currently working towards being front-end developer. My mission is to build immersive and beautiful web applications through carefully crafted code and user-centric design. I enjoy learning and improving my skills to stay up to date the with the latest trend and technology out there.

My design journey started with me starting my career as a graphic designer, from there it was where I occasionally took projects designing web layouts for potential website builds. I enjoyed the process of designing the layout of a website but was not sure on how to make design become a live functioning site. I then took a few courses to learn to code and the struggle was real, at least for me it was, lots of hours watching tutorials trying to build a website or application. There were a lot of moments of frustration trying to figure out why something wasn't working and certain points where I wanted to give up. It was in those moments where I began to think about attending a school in order to be a self-sufficient developer.

That's when I decided to join a coding bootcamp to help me excel in my coding journey that I am pursuing. I came to the decision to attend Coding Dojo of OC and it was definitely not an easy program, it was fast paced and challenging but I still finished strong feeling much more confident in tackling new challenges that I may come across. It gives me better confidence to start learning a new language since I find the concepts to be similar but the syntax is what you have to learn
